A VERY APOLLO 8 CHRISTMAS



36 years ago, Apollo 8 launch lifted off of Pad 39A. Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot Jim Lovell, and Lunar Module Pilot William A. Anders to become the first manned voyage to another celestial body, orbited the moon 10 times, and returned safely to earth, clearing the way for the first manned lunar landing seven months later by Apollo 11.
